Notes on shelf life: All batteries have a 'best before' date which is stated on the packet usually months or sometimes years ahead of the actual purchase date. In practise batteries can be kept much longer (up to two years beyond the 'best before' date) but remember do not remove the the seal on the battery until you are ready to insert it into your hearing aid. Zinc air technogy generates power by the interaction of the zinc with air, the battery is therefore inert until you remove the tab.
